About the Fellowship
We founded NextBeam to help advance the state-of-the-art in sterilization and radiation processing.
We earnestly believe that accelerator-based modalities have developed into the most robust, scalable, and sustainable technology to support sterilization, material modification, and a variety of other industrial applications.
The NextBeam Research Fellowship (RF) is designed to support investigators seeking to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Who We’re Looking For
This fellowship is for individual investigators, academic researchers, and independent innovators, not corporate R&D teams or commercial product trials. If you’re unsure about eligibility, feel free to reach out.
It’s an opportunity for motivated researchers to leverage NextBeam’s cutting-edge equipment, advanced dosimetry lab, and industry-leading turnaround times to tackle complex challenges in medical device sterilization, clinical applications, agriculture, manufacturing, and beyond
Ideal candidates include:
- Researchers aiming to publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Innovators with strong technical expertise and a track record of independent research
- Investigators advancing the science of E-Beam sterilization and radiation processing
Application Process
How to Apply
To be considered, submit the following materials to fellowship@nextbeam.com:
- 1-page abstract outlining your research project and its objectives
- 1-page CV including any prior published research
- 1-3 letters of recommendation (optional but encouraged) from past colleagues who can attest to your ability to independently define and execute a research project
Applications will be reviewed by the NextBeam RF Committee, which will evaluate proposals based on scientific merit, feasibility, and potential impact. Applicants will be notified within 4-6 weeks.
